This shot is from the Vancouver Skytrain system. From the photographer’s notes:

I rode the skytrain the entire length of the yellow and blue line, deep into the suburbs of the metropolis.

It’s really cool seeing the groupings of highrise apartments that surround each stop like beacon lights with nothing but single story houses and commercial buildings filling up the land in between.

It *is* cool to travel metro systems precisely for the photographer’s reasons. You get a glimpse of the transformation of the scenery from the urban skylines to the suburban landscapes at the end of the line.
