The Oakland Skyline reflected on the surface of Lake Merritt. I pass this lake every day on my way to work but from underground (the subway). I hardly ever get a chance to marvel at its beauty, such as at a moment like this.

Teatro Real – Royal Theater (Marrakech)

This is the Teatro Real (Royal Theater) in Marakech, Morocco. Thoughts of Morocco take me back to the days I lived next door to a little old lady from Morocco. She was French born and raised but moved to Morocco out of necessity when she was barely a teenager. The way that this woman would tell her stories were very repetitive but possessed a certain charming fidelity and clarity that I had to admire.
